Class Description

Research shows that music and movement experiences provide preschool children with much more than just musical skill. Through music and movement, children learn how to:

* Express their emotions * Release energy * Gain confidence * Build language skills * Cooperate with others * Appreciate other cultures * Utilize cognitive skills*

This class will help you learn how to integrate music and movement throughout your entire schedule. Over 200 toddlers through pre-k music activities, websites, articles, and songs will be shared.

Each student will have access to an online classroom where we will meet once a week. In addition, a workshop web site is provided where they will have access to:

Music clips

Class polls

Communication with each other through the class message board

Pictorial examples of many of the art activities

At the end of the workshop, students will have gained a new appreciation for music in the classroom along with a HUGE resource of activities, ideas, and web sites to help put into action what they have learned.
